2 April 2009: .. Julien Maurin drives YACCO sponsored VW Polo S2000 in the 2009 IRC Acores.

The young French talent Julien Maurin will use a latest spec Volkswagen Polo Super 2000 in the 2009 IRC Acores Rally.

28 March 2009: .. Andreas Waldherr wins the 209 BP Lavanttal Rally in Austria.

Driving the ex Bernd Casier VW Polo S2000 for the 1st time Andreas made it clear that he was going to give it all to win the rally.

Due to the canceling of the BP Rally beginning of September it is only possible to become champion if Raimund Baumschlager ( Skoda Fabia S2000) retires from 1 event.
the target of Volkswagen motorsport Austria is to win all the remaining events, so he did by wining the BP Lavantall rally with a clear marging over his rivals.
next event the Bosch rally 1-3 May.

22 March 2009: .. Rene Georges Ralysport provides technical support to Volkswagen Motorsport Austria.

During the 2009 season RGRS will send me and our Engineer Yannick Willocx to Austria to follow the Austrian Rally championship with Andreas Waldherr.
VW Motorsport Austria has recently bought the ex Bernd Casier VW Polo S2000 and Aldreas Waldherr used it for the 1st time on the BP Lavanttal rally, wich resulted in a superb 1st place for Waldherr.

4 March 2009: .. Test Francois Duval VW Polo S2000

Today Francois Duval Tested the Volkswagen Polo S2000 in AMEL ( Belgium ).
this test was for Francois to evaluate the potential of the VW Polo S2000.

Februari 2009: .. Development VW Polo 5 S2000

Continues development will take place on the VW Polo S2000 Engine and Suspension.
Volkswagen Racing South Africa and Rene Georges Rallysport are continuing the preparation of the VW Polo S2000 for the 2009 season.

Soon the VW Polo 5 S2000 will be seen an many National and International events.

There is NO news of the development for the VW Polo 6 in S 2000 form or any other competition.

The new Skoda Fabia S2000 made its Rally debut at the Monte Carlo Rally 22/24 January 2009 finishing an excelent 4 th and scored an excelent Victory in the 2009 PWRC Rally of Norway.

Rene Georges Rallysport continues with the development of the VW Polo S2000.

Volkswagen will take part in the 2009 Austrian Rally Championship with Andreas Waldherr, other programmes will be noted soon.

November / December 2008: ...Volkswagen Belgium Stops Sponsorship for Belgian Rally Programme.

Volkswagen Belgium ( Belgian VW Club ) has made the Decission to end their Sponsorship for the Belgium Rally championship.

The Rene Georges Rallysport team held a test / presentation day in Brustum Belgium end of November.
many drivers from Europe were invited to testdrive the Volkswagen Polo Super 2000 and some even tried the Volkswagen Polo Super 1600 ( pictures below).

Mai 2008: ...Volkswagen Returns to the IRC...

Volkswagen has made the Decission to return to the 2008 IRC starting from the Iepers Rally in Belgium.

18 March 2008: ...Return to Volkswagen...

I have made my return to the Volkswagen Team ( Rene Georges Rallsport Belgium) as Team Coordinator.
The reason i did this was because i felt i needed to return to the team and help them and support them to continue the great work that Hans Goudezeune has done with the Polo Super 2000.

I Always enjoyed working with the team and am happy to be back.

10-03-2008: ...Tragic news.....

Monday 10 March 2008, a day i will never forget any more in my life..... my good friend and chief Engineer from the RGRS team Hans Goudezeune died in a crash while testing the VW Polo S2000 for the East Belgium rally togeather with new driver Larry Cols.....
Hans never had a chance to survive in this situation and Larry Cols went to Hospital with severe injuries.....
Hans was an inspiration for many persons in the world of Rallying, he was there for everybody... you could always count on Hans to be there and get the job done....
I enjoyed many Rally's and special moments togeather with Hans and it was such a great pleasure to work with him, he would always make jokes about everything but when the time came to be serious ... Hans was there...

RIP Hans..... i will miss you..... But will never forget you...
